you didn't see that i was more than excited.
you didn't see that i was grinning the entire time inside.
you didn't see that i needed "ONE" more throw of the cap for it to be official.
you didn't see that i worked so hard for those cords, it was practically deadly.
you didn't see me graduating.
it was everyone.
this ceremony wasn't about me.
it was about the support, help, guidance I have received from loved ones,
it was the accumulation of years and years of hard work from parents and students.
it was incredible.
Oh, I'm so sad I missed your graduation! You look absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see you. Ps, what did your friend win? What award is she holding?

ReplyDeleteAllie won Senior Cup this year, Conner won Junior Cup last year.
Julie won the Ford Scholar Award which pays for 90% of unmet needs for undergrad AND grad schoool. Yeah, my friends are all brilliant. And all of them were valedvictorian and IB diploma canidates! :)
Congratulations Emily! You look fantastic in cap and gown. I really wish we could've been there to celebrate with you. BYU here you come! Love ya!
