Jane Austen Yule Ball

So I don't want to steal Emily's thunder on her Snoball but I'll just put in a few pics from last night. It was so fun!! I was definitely born in the wrong era. There was a girl that looked exactly like the Elizabeth Bennett in the 1995 Pride and Prejudice. I can see why Kitty and Lydia would want to dance the whole time because that's how I was. You just don't want to stop-it's so fun! They showed this video as the finale. The people who were in charge of this made it. All the girls about died ;)
This is my roommate Maria from George, Washington (yep, that's really where she's from. We love people's reactions when they hear it). She taught me how to put on my makeup correctly so that was nice :)

Thanks to Bubs, I got to wear this $4 DI dress. The only thing I had to pay for! (I wish I had gloves though because back then it was scandolous to touch the opposite sex with just bare hands. Another thing that's scandalous was showing off the ankles-who would have thunk?)
This is kinda a weird picture of me but do you see the pearl earrings? Ever since I was 11, when I watched Emma for the first time, I have always wanted dangly pearl earrings. Thanks to Bubs again, a couple of years ago she made them so it was fun to wear them at my first Yule Ball!
So here is my date, Cody, very Mr. Bingley-like. Funny thing about this picture is my old English teacher took this. She isn't married but and I can't understand why because she's hilarious! She was commenting how she was like Mary Bennett because she wasn't getting asked to dance and how maybe her age was truly showing in her face. Anyway fun times!
