oh happy day

septemeber 8th was probably one of the best days this year.
let me tell you. i got to go to two temples to do baptisms in one day.

that is pure happiness.
and the best part...i got to do it with my two closest friends.

my roommate hannah, she's the best. who else would get up at 5:30 on a saturday morning so that we could go to the Timpanagos Temple together....seriously, she inspires me to be and do better everyday. she works harder than any student. she loves to be happy. she is so willing to give of her time. and the best part, she reaches out the one--the one that might be less noticed. the one that might not be talked to. she'll give rides when others are left places, or are in dire need of food :). she cares for the one. It was both our first time and it was the perfect way to begin a day. we watched the sun come in through the canyon of the mountains and enjoyed some delicious french toast at kneaders. i wish you could all meet Hannah--she is just one of a kind.

Later that day, I drove to Ephraim, UT to visit another best friend. With his friends we were able to do baptisms in the Manti Temple. Oh, I had to remind myself to breathe it was so beautiful. This was also my first time seeing the Manti Temple. It was the 4th temple built in UT (i think), and was dedicated in 1888. It was stunning. It was a tender mercy that we got there late, and there was a group before us of 35, so we got to sit and wait for about 2.5 hours. I really appreciated that time, because I often feel that when I go to the Provo Temple, they move you in and out so quickly--I feel robbed of the time to sit and ponder. (Don't worry, i still LOVE the Provo Temple).

Today at church, i met a girl who isn't a member of the church because she is from the Middle East, and because of the legalities and such, she is not allowed to be baptized. How often have I taken for granted the opportunity to walk into the Temple, go to Temple Dedications, have the gift of the Holy Ghost with me all the time, and taking that necessary and essential step of baptism. Thanks, Hannah for helping me realize this. I am just so grateful to be a member of this gospel.

I met some great girls while visiting Ephraim. They are just elite and was grateful for the influence of people wherever you go.

Yesterday, i just lived the dream.
Spending the day in the best place on this earth.

aren't they beautiful? shouldn't they be the cover of the ensign? :)

  2. What a great day! Thanks for sharing. We visited the Manti temple about 2 years ago and I was blown away, too, by how stunning it was inside and out. That last picture of you and Paul is really cute. Glad you got to see him!
